Hi, I’m Michelle.
You can see echoes of my childhood in my artwork.
Some of my favorite childhood memories are of long bike rides with my dad and weekly library trips with my mom.
If I close my eyes I can still see us riding by windswept trees , frolicking squirrels, and the occasional deer.
And, I can hear a skeptical librarian asking if I would be reading the tall stack of books, to which my mom replied, “Yes, and we’ll be back for more before the end of the week.”
So, it’s no surprise that nature is a major inspiration for my art, and that I have a passion for transforming old books, destined for the landfill, into art journals.
Through my work, I blend these childhood loves into work deeply inspired by nature's beauty of rich colors and textures.
